A complete history of the Pecos Men’s Golf Association (PMGA) is not possible because inadequate records were kept prior to 1997. However, the PMGA has been in operation for many decades and continues to flourish today. The PMGA currently has 68 members and is always looking to add to its membership. The yearly cost of membership is ONLY $26.
Our Association has been licensed by the USGA and currently maintains USGA Handicaps on all its current members.
The PMGA also sponsors 3 tournaments each year. On Memorial Day weekend each year, the Beau Jack Invitational is held. It is a 2 man – low ball tournament that continues to fill up early each year. For members only, our Club Match Play Championship is played during June and July each year. A listing of all of the past Club Champions is also posted on this website. Then on the last weekend of September each year, our Fall Classic tournament is held. It is an Individual Stroke Play event, no partners, just you and your “sticks”! This tournament continues to attracts over 100 golfers from all over West Texas and southern New Mexico competing against each other in what we like to call – “real golf”!
